Coca is not only a popular beverage but can also be used as a detergent, helping to clean many household items.

Use coke to clean the toilet

You can take advantage of leftover coke or expired coke (or any carbonated soft drink) in your house to clean the toilet. Pour coke over the entire surface of the toilet to let the water flow through all the stains and yellow stains.

Coca can soften dirt and help clean the toilet.

Coca can soften dirt and help clean the toilet.

Leave it like that for 1 hour. The acids in coca will help break down stains and plaque. After that, you just need to get a specialized brush to clean the entire toilet. Finally, rinse thoroughly with water.

Similarly, you can use coca to clean other locations in the bathroom and toilet such as bathtubs, washbasins, walls, floors...

Use coke to remove grease stains on clothes

For greasy stains, you can dip the dirty fabric in coke, rub it gently, then wash the clothes as usual. Note, if you wash white clothes, you should use colorless carbonated drinks to avoid staining the clothes due to drinking water.

If motorbike or car oil gets on the yard or tile floor, pour coke on the areas that need to be cleaned and leave it for 15 minutes. Then, use a brush to scrub away the oil stains and use clean water to rinse.

Clean rust on metal items

You can soak rusted metal items in carbonated soft water for about 15 minutes and then use a brush to scrub several times until the rust comes off. If you don't have soda, use beer instead.

Clean glass windows

Citric acid found in coca (or carbonated soft drinks in general) is very effective in cleaning residue. You can pour fresh water into a spray bottle and spray directly on the mirror or mirror, leave for a few minutes and wipe with a towel to see the difference.

Clean pots, pans and dishes

Pots and pans that have been used for a while will accumulate residue from grease and food. You just need to soak the pots and pans in coca water for about 15 minutes and then scrub and the stains will disappear. If you accidentally burn food and stick to the bottom of the pot, pour coke into the pot and boil, soak for a while until the food residue softens and can be washed.
