Microsoft Office 2024 will be 'registration-free' and run offline

Microsoft is preparing to launch Office 2024 version with the ability to operate without requiring registration and without an internet connection.

The preview version of Office 2024 will be released by Microsoft next month before the official version launches later this year. LTSC (long-term serving channel) instances will be available for purchase as a one-time payment

For many years now Microsoft has followed the trend of paying equivalent monthly fees for services provided to customers. Microsoft Office 2024 will not require a monthly fee

Another point is that Office 2024 will not include Publisher because Microsoft plans to stop supporting it in 2026. In addition, the preview has also removed AI support tools for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Office 2024 will be compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 11, 10 and macOS and will receive updates for 5 years
